Mercedes CLA 200 AMG: The new night-mare for Audi A3 Sedan and BMW 1 series in Egypt?

Mercedes Benz Egypt has been setting the benchmark in Egypt’s highly important Automotive Premium & Luxury segment, regarding several aspects.

One of those aspects is their professional participation in the international media activities of Daimler AG such as the E-Class launch in Barcelona last year as well as the C-Class launch in Marseille a couple of days ago.

Another benchmark-setting aspect are the driving and life-style events which Mercedes Benz Egypt organizes regularly in Egypt for local media, their existing and potential customers as well as for the local VIPs and diplomats.

Another benchmark-setting aspect are the extremely important and live-saving active and passive safety features equipped as standard features in the Mercedes flagships like the S-Class but also in their other popular models such as the E-Class and C-Class.

The smaller Mercedes models such as the A-Class and CLA are no different and come with a very good stability and performance in addition to the live-saving active and passive safety features.

This is why we decided to have a closer look at the extremely good-looking Mercedes CLA 200 AMG, to see if it will be able to outperform and beat the Audi A3 Sedan or the BMW 1 series, which are the main competitors offered and sold in this car segment in Egypt.

At least design-wise the Audi A3 Sedan and BMW 1 series will probably not be able to compete with the CLA 200 AMG: Not only is the CLA 200 AMG a head-turner among most pedestrians and road users of all ages and gender, but even my Bawab and security guy told me this morning that the cars looks amazing and very stylish! Nothing more to add here.

Performance-wise and stability-wise the CLA 200 AMG, which is running on Goodyear tires, left a very good first impression.
